Tivoli Storage Manager Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer an advanced Tivoli Storage Manager environment
• Help customers to install, configure, use, and upgrade Storagepipe solutions within their environment
• Apply data-management best practices and advanced disaster recovery concepts 
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to respond promptly, professionally and accurately to customer issues and questions, handle difficult situations and maintain composure and quality service
• Ability to multi-task and work under dynamic conditions and constraints with minimal supervision
  
• Strong analytical, prioritization, time management, and follow-up skills
• On-call rotation assignment

Requirements:

• B.S. degree or recent technical college diploma or equivalent experience
• IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Certification
• At least 3 years experience in IT support or in a technical role supporting software and hosted applications
• AIX/UNIX skills

Nice to have skills

• Microsoft certification including any of the following: MCSA, MCSE, MSSQL, MS Exchange
• Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or DB2/UDB)
• Experience with E-mail systems (MS Exchange & Lotus Notes) preferred
• Network (any) with a preference given to Cisco
• Network Operations Center (NOC) experience
• Experience with other backup software and data management solutions
